If you are thinking of planning a tour with some Winter sun, or simply looking to create some routes for next year’s riding season whilst the weather is keeping the bike in the garage, but struggle with the basics of creating a .GPX file in BaseCamp, then why not come along.
This is a repeat of a session held earlier in the Summer by Dave Sutherland and is designed to help those who may be looking for some assistance in mastering the vagueries of Basecamp in terms of creating satnav routes.
This is not a session about “what is best” as there are various apps and manufacturers available. This is about creating a .gpx file in Basecamp that can be used in other compatible devices.
Participants will need to bring a laptop that has the latest version of Basecamp installed and a set of up-to-date maps. Laptops should be fully charged or have mains adaptors along with extension leads. If you wish to bring your satnav and the correct data transfer cable that’ll be fine, but not necessary.
