Service Personnel Discount
Are you a member of HM Armed Forces?
JCCC data shows that one in three reported road traffic collisions involve motorcyclists. We also know that Service Personnel—like any workers returning from deployment—can face higher risk when getting back on a bike after time away. (We’ve got plenty of serving and veteran riders ourselves!)
33% of reported RTCs involved motorcyclists — stay safe, stay skilled
Our progressive training system, based on Police Roadcraft training, will help you anticipate and manage these challenges and improve your riding.
We currently have Service Personnel undertaking advanced riding courses using SLC funding, so the process is tried, tested and successful.
If you’re considering training, are over 19 and hold a full A or A2 licence and have a road legal machine capable of reaching National Speed Limits (70 mph), get in touch and we’ll help you get your SLC application sorted before your course begins.
As of 6 February 2026, Standard Learning Credits (SLCs) can be used towards:
Core driver/rider training
Advanced rider or advanced driver training
Go to https://discovermybenefits.mod.gov.uk/ and look for Professional Development or search “Use of SLCs for driver training” on MoDNET for the full policy.
Bottom line is that SLCs can reduce your course fees by up to 80%.
How can you apply?
You can now use SLCs for advanced motorcycle training
Submit a Tri‑Service SLC Application (F1950) - See JSP 822 or search Sharepoint.
